Hello from snowy Muskoka!

Some of you may already have heard our news, but we’re excited to share with you something that God has been working out for some time in our lives.  In November (Lord-willing) we plan to be heading back to PNG for a 2 year term as missionaries with Friends In Action International.  This is the same country, location, mission and endeavour as trip in 2009.

Friends in Action International exists to accelerate the work of proclaiming the Gospel to isolated people groups that have not had the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ!  Here in North America we have over 600 english translations of the bible, but there are still hundreds of language groups in PNG who have not yet heard to gospel, and wait for God’s Word printed and taught in their own tongue.  Many of these people have been asking and waiting for missionaries to come and share with them ‘God’s talk’.  We’ll be partnering in practical ways with bible translators and church planters to speed and support the work.

We have had many questions about Jay’s health, and that was one of the first doors that we walked through on this journey of obedience.  He has the green light from his cardiologist and the infectious disease doctor to make this move.

There is so much more we could say, but this post would get very long!  We would love to talk and answer questions if you’d like to contact us.  We hope through this blog to communicate some of these things, like what our work in PNG will be and how we have so evidently seen God’s hand in this process.

Right now we are at the stage where we’re organizing information, beginning the process of fund raising and figuring that all out (confident in the Lord’s leading and thus his provision), working out the logistics of renting out our house and packing and preparing. We absolutely covet your prayers regarding these things.

Very sincerely and with love,

Jay and Krista

Our family in 2010
